A RHYL institution will stage yet another classic for three nights next month.
The Rhyl Liberty Players, who turned 75 last year, will host their annual summer show at Rhyl's Little Theatre with a production of John Osborne’s The Entertainer.
Archie Rice is a struggling variety player, the last of the song and dance men at a time when vaudeville was fading from British theatres.
Set in 1956, this is the story of his family struggling to survive in a post-war Britain, with Archie’s only escape from reality being the world of comedy and song on the stage.
The play became the famous 1960 film with Laurence Olivier, who was nominated for an Oscar playing the role of Archie.
The Entertainer will run from Wednesday, June 21 until Saturday, June 23 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £9, with concessions and available by calling 03336 663366 or going online at libertyplayers.co.uk
