LLANBRYNMAIR Show will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25, with plenty of fantastic games and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Entry for the show, which starts at 11am and is being held at Llanbrynmair Community Centre, is free although there will be a charge to enter individual competitions.
Guests will be able to take their pick from a range of attractions including s
heep competitions, sheepdog trials, dog shows and sporting activities.
There will also be arts and crafts contests, food stalls and a carnival complete with the crowning of the carnival queen.
The sheep judging will start at 11 am. All entries must be with the sheep secretary five days before the show, and all sheep must be penned by 10.45am on the morning of the competition. For more information or to enter, contact the secretary Eiffon Davies on 01650 521209.
The dog shows will begin at 1pm, with entries having to be submitted between 12 noon and 1pm. Entry costs 30p, and there is a diverse selection of categories, ranging from best groomed and conditioned dog to the dog that most resembles its owner. First prize will win 50p, second prize 40p and third prize 30p.
Guests will also be able to take part in a variety of sporting contests such as five-a-side football and running races for a variety of age groups, as well as the lighter hearted egg and spoon race and egg throwing contest.
The winning side in the football competition will be rewarded with a shield, while those victorious in the races will claim a medal, with second place winning £1 and third place taking home 50p. Winners in the more comical contests will also receive £2 for first place, £1 for second and 50p for third.
For those not so keen to test their sporting ability, there are also arts and crafts and cookery competitions in which contestants pay 20p to enter one item or £1 for six (under 18s free) to compete for prizes worth up to £3, as well as a carnival procession at 12.30pm.
