SWEDEN may have given us Ingmar Bergman, Volvo and IKEA, but one of it's most treasured exports is certainly karaoke favourites ABBA.
Although the original group may not be touring anymore, fans from North Wales can still get their pop fix when Abba Mania comes to Rhyl's Pavilion Theatre.
The show formed in 1999 and the show has been selling out in theatres and concert halls inte
rnationally ever since.
Just last December it grossed over one million Australian dollars at the box office in Sydney and this Spring it brought the house down in Seoul.
Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anna Frida - collectively known as Abba - dominated the charts for nearly ten years and enjoyed nine UK number ones.
Sadly, in the early eighties, they decided to go their separate ways, but their music lives on. Abba Gold was continuously in the album charts throughout the nineties and is one of the biggest selling albums ever.
Abba Mania is not only for life long, die hard Abba fans but the new generation of fans, who never had the opportunity to see Abba live.
Hit after hit include Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes it All, Super Trooper, Fernando, Take A Chance On Me, and many more that continue to fill dancefloors worldwide.
If you're looking for an excuse to party, reminisce or simply be entertained by the music there has ever been, then be sure not to miss Abba Mania when it comes to North Wales.
