THE SPRING timetable of weekly walks in and around Prestatyn has been announced.
Over the past six years, the You'll Never Walk Alone programme in the town has been attended by more than 11,000 walkers, helping develop improved health levels and many new friendships.
Suitable clothing should be worn on the walks and children und
er 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

The weekly programme is: Monday, 10am from Prestayn Leisure Centre, Princes Avenue, quick paced 45 to 60 minute walk; 2pm, Prestatyn Town Council, Nant Hall Road, gentle paced 30 to 40 mins walk for beginners; 6.30pm, North Wales Bowls Centre, Ferguson Avenue, 60 mins family walk; Tuesday, 10.30am, Ty Pendre Community Building (next to Cross Foxes), 75 mins social walk; Wednesday, 11am, Saints Fitness Club, Meliden, 75 mins hillside walk in search of local history; 2pm, Nova Centre, 30 to 40 mins promenade stroll; Thursday, 2pm, Graig Park, Meliden, 90 mins challenging walk with panoramic views and scenery; Saturday, 11am, North Wales Bowls Centre, 60 to 90 mins family weekend wander; Sunday, 11am, Nova Centre, 90 mins Sunday saunter along the coast.
Optional refreshments are available after each walk.
A social evening is now being held every Monday after the evening walk, including quizzes, karaoke, singalongs and guest speakers. For details call 01745 859467 or 07923212246.
The next longer walk is being held on Monday, April 21 along Lady Bagot's Drive, Rhewl. Walkers are asked to meet at Saints car park, Meliden at 9.30am, setting off from Drovers Arms car park in Rhewl at 10.15am.
The four-mile walk will last for about two and a half hours and is of moderate difficulty (no dogs).
