THE annual elderly persons' outing and entertainment had again proved a resounding success, President Howard Ferdinando told a meeting of Rhyl Rotary Club.
He said the coach tour, followed by tea and entertainment at St Thomas' Church house laid on by the club had been greatly appreciated by the dozens of local senior citizens.

The President thanked members who had contributed to the event.

The President also announced the official opening this Friday of the new Wishing Well at the White Rose Centre at 2.30pm to which all members were invited as well as the arrival this weekend of another group of elderly gentlemen as guests of the club for a week's free holiday in Rhyl.

Vocational chairman Andrew Brown said that he and the President would be attending a ceremony at Llandrillo Catering College this week to present a certificate and cheque for £100 to most promising student Damien Abrahams, the winner of the annual award sponsored by the club.
