Help at hand for veterans

A NEW initiative enabling servicemen, veterans and their dependents to receive help and advice with money matters was given the backing of St Asaph's Royal British Legion last week.
The Royal British Legion, Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and Citizens Advice Benefits and Money Advice Service, a three-year programme, funded by The Royal British Legion and The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, was showcased at an event in Denbigh Town Hall.
The initiative which was rolled out in December 2007 across 18 Citizens Advice Bureaux in England and Wales, with Denbighshire being among one of the first areas to offer the service.
The service accessible to people who have served at least seven days in the Army, Royal Navy, or Royal Air Force, or be the dependent of someone who has served.
