TWO leading law firms founded in the nineteenth century are to merge.
Swayne Johnson St Asaph was set up in the 1830s and will join with Llandudno based solicitors, Chamberlain, Johnson & Parke founded in 1852, from May 9.

The firm will be known as Swayne Johnson Solicitors incorporating Chamberlain, Johnson & Parke.

Edward Lloyd, managing director of Swayne Johnson Solicitors, said: “This is an exciting development for both Swayne Johnson and Chamberlain, Johnson & Parke. While we remain fully committed to the Vale of Clwyd via our existing offices in Denbigh and St Asaph, it was felt that as Llandudno is emerging as a business and cultural centre for North Wales that it was important for Swayne Johnson’s ongoing development as a leading firm of solicitors in the region, that we should have an office in the town.”

The merger will take the number of employees at Swayne Johnson to over 50.
